The Pediatrics Hospital is a well-equipped 300 bed hospital of Cairo University.
It is considered one of the best in the country. This post involves both clinical
and academic activities in the medical school and the university hospitals.



Member of the Neonatology department staff at the Cairo University Pediatric
Hospital
:

The neonatology department consists of a NICU having 40 incubators and an intermediate
care unit having 10 incubators. It is the largest neonatology unit in Cairo
and the whole of Egypt.



Clinical sessions:

One session of general Pediatrics outpatient clinic I see an average of 60 patients
per clinic.

Weekly round on general pediatrics at the ward with the senior staff at the department.

Weekly scientific meeting organized by the various specialized clinics at the hospital.

Weekly round at the neonatology department with the senior staff.

Weekly obligation to be on call at the neonatology department.


Teaching sessions:

Weekly practical teaching session (1 hour) for undergraduate students in their
Pediatrics rotation at medical school.

INTENDED CAREER & OBJECTIVES


Academic Pediatrician with special interest in the field of Neonatlogy.

I am also intrested in Assisted Reproductive Technology which includes the clinical
follow up of the outcome of such pregnancies in addition to the use of this
technology in Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis, which is a completely new
field in Egypt. I am involved in the actvities of the PGD laboratory at our
center.

READING:

I love reading and I have read extensively in both the classic and modern literature
in Arabic, English and Swedish.


HAND WORK:

I love Knitting , sewing , and fixing things at home.
