Definition: Appearance of any element of the pubertal events more than 2 standard deviations earlier than the mean age for that event Or Pubertal developmental before the age of 8 years.Classification :
· True or pseudoprecocious puberty :
- True : is due to premature increase of the gonadotropins
- Pseudo : due to premature increase of sex steroids
· Complete or incomplete :
- Complete : appearance of all elements of pubertal events precociously
- Incomplete : Appearance of one element of the pubertal events precociously
· Isosexual or heterosexual :
- Isosexual : precocious puberty with a feminine character
- Heterosexual : precocious puberty with virilization
