After Delivery Q&A

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
YOU MADE IT!
|
A new member of the family arrived. It is normal to
have concerns about your newborn's health as well as your own. Your
physician and nurse-midwife are available should any health problems
arise, or if you need medical reassurance. Educating yourself on the
danger signs of post-partum (just as you did for pregnancy) and infant
care will alleviate unnecessary concerns; and can decrease your worries
so that you can gain confidence in your new mothering role. Other
women, and available health sources can also be helpful during your
recovery in order to educate you further. You should seek health information
related to you and your baby's well-being from every available source.
Discussing matters with other mothers may comfort you knowing that
you are not alone.
