Women's Corner
Delivery Q&A
|
Are you frightened of the idea of Childbirth? Every pregnant woman has her concerns. These concerns are mainly based on uncertainties. Seeking information will limit these uncertainties to a great extent. The woman's physician (or in some countries a Certified Nurse-Midwife) is the most reliable source of this information. In addition, women and their families have many resources available to them in order to gain knowledge about their health, the pregnancy, birthing process, newborn care and parenting. This can be done through classes, women support groups, books, videos and audio tapes. This could point out some issue that otherwise will not be within her scope of thinking. It is important that the woman discuss her medical concerns with her Medical Provider (Physician or Nurse-Midwife), and yet maintain her social relationships with those who might offer reassurance, comfort and support during this exciting yet stressful time.. |
